Who We Are
Incorporated in 1983, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery promotes hope, health, and wellness through participation in supportive communities for people with mental illness. Our Joint Commission-accredited clinical services and CARF-accredited Brain Injury services utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches to facilitate recovery services for individuals and their families. Our state-licensed personal care homes fully integrate long-term wellness supports. A full continuum of services and options are offered for transition as residents become increasingly independent.

Our services have expanded over the years to meet the needs of individuals and their families. Today, we are proud to provide support for individuals seeking discrete brain injury support services in our two designated State licensed 8-bed Action Recovery wings of Mount Trexler Manor. Both of our licensed personal care homes, Mount Trexler Manor and Quakertown House, offer substance use disorder, co-occurring and mental health disorder support services.

Our individualized approach to mental health care permits us to combine supports from various resources to create a support plan that meets individuals’ specific needs. We emphasize holistic recovery, incorporating wellness supports that include nutritionist services, yoga, dTMS, and CES, along with regular primary care and specialist physician appointments. Our in-house services utilize pre-vocational supports to facilitate community employment, and our educational programs have assisted individuals with scholastic achievement. We also assist our residents with developing socialization skills through utilization of community resources, regular activities, and with peer development opportunities.
